ECSR Job Market at the General Annual Conference

A new initiative of the ECSR – job market session for young social scientists at the General annual ECSR Conference

A special session titled “job market” is intended to be held in occasion of the annual ECSR general conferences. During this session, PhD candidates and post-docs from ECSR member institutions who are on the job market can have short and informal interviews with representatives of ECSR member institutions (or principal investigators of projects) who might recruit in the close future. These interviews shall allow job market candidates and potential employers to meet and get to know each other.

The “job market session” was introduced 2016 with the conference in Oxford.

Guidelines

  1. Candidates from ECSR member institutions on the job market sign up to this initiative by writing an e-mail with the subject “Candidate for ECSR job market” to
    ecsrjobmarket@gmail.com.
This e-mail has to include a link to the own homepage (on Academia, ResearchGate etc.), ideally with a downloadable job market paper and a short description of their thesis.
The names of job market candidates are published below.
  2. ECSR member institutions with prospective vacancies for such candidates sign up by writing an e-mail with the subject “Opening for ECSR Job Market” to
    ecsrjobmarket@gmail.com.
If possible, a link to the call or project description should be provided.
  3. Candidates and representatives of the institutions with prospective vacancies can meet and have an informal interview during the yearly ECSR conference.
The representative(s) of the institutions with vacancies must contact the desired candidate(s) in advance and arrange for a short interview during the job market session at the Annual Conference.
