Travel Grants for 2026 ECSR Annual Conference (Dublin, 15 to 17 June 2026)

The ECSR will award Travel Grants to support participation in the 2026 ECSR Annual Conference in Dublin. Grants are open to Ph.D. students and researchers from institutions in COST “Inclusiveness Target Countries” (see list below).

Each grant provides up to 1,000 EUR toward travel and accommodation, the conference fee, and conference dinner.

  • Applications open: 13 February 2026
  • Applications close: 20 February 2026
  • Decisions communicated by: 25 February 2026

Eligibility and rules

  • Applicants (Ph.D. students and researchers) must be from an institution in one of the COST “Inclusiveness Target Countries” (see list below).
  • Applicants must have their abstract accepted for (co-)presentation (paper or poster) at the 2026 ECSR Annual Conference in Dublin.
  • Preference will be given to researchers in the early stages of their career.
  • The ECSR Board will assess the applications.
  • The grant covers travel and accommodation (for the period of the conference), the conference fee (early-bird fee registration by 28 February 2026 is required), and the conference dinner. It does not cover additional expenses such as local transportation, food, insurance, or additional days.
  • Grantees must accept the ECSR data protection regulations, as well as the declarations regarding consent to the use of photos and information, liability, and insurance requirements.
  • Grantees can request an upfront payment to cover their travel costs in advance.
  • Reimbursement will be made only if the grant holder (co-)presents the paper/poster at the conference. Detailed reimbursement rules are available here.

How to apply

Send your application by e-mail to ecsr-conftravelgrant@wbz.eu including the following:

  1. A cover letter: Provide your name, current institutional affiliation, career status (student, faculty, etc.), and an itemized approximate cost estimate for your conference visit.
  2. Proof of acceptance of paper/poster for the 2026 ECSR Annual Conference: An email acceptance letter from the local organizing team in Dublin, showing the accepted abstract number.
  3. The abstract of the accepted paper/poster.
